Abstract

This article explores the role of metaphysics in Islamic architecture and its connection to spiritual and philosophical principles. By delving into fundamental concepts such as unity, perfection, and spiritual hierarchy, it demonstrates how these principles contribute to the formation of architectural spaces and manifest spirituality in Islamic structures. This research aims to illustrate the impact of metaphysics on spatial design through real-life examples of mosques, schools, and tombs. Additionally, a comparative study between Islamic architecture and other religious architectural styles is conducted to examine cultural and philosophical similarities and differences. In this context, spiritual elements such as light, color, and sacred geometry are analyzed as tools for creating a sense of tranquility and spiritual belonging in Islamic architectural spaces. Ultimately, by providing recommendations for applying metaphysical principles in the design of contemporary Islamic spaces, this article seeks to deepen the understanding of how metaphysics influences architecture and fosters a spiritual and transcendent atmosphere. The limitations of the study are also discussed, along with suggestions for future research on the metaphysical and spiritual influences in the design of public and private spaces.
